Jury Rules Katy Perry “Dark Horse” is a copyright infringement, multiple outlets reports. The pop songstress has officially lost her court battle against Christian rapper flame’s claim that the trap-pop hit ripped off his 2008 song joyful noise”

Which came out years before “dark horse” and appeared on his grammy-nominated gospel album, “our world Redeemed”.

Flame argued “Dark Horse” stole “Joyful Noise’s” beat. But Katy Perry claimed that she’d never heard his song before and was only made aware of it when he filed the lawsuit in 2014.

The Jury ultimately sided whid flame and against Katy and the case is now set to proceed to the damages phase. Katy has yet to publicly comment on the outcome of the suit.
