Well, it looks like the rumors are true, Lindsay Lohan is making her musical comeback! Yes, you heard that right, after teasing us with possible new music back in May with a picture of herself in a recording studio, the singer finally shared a little snippet of her new song.
During Thursday’s episode of Virgin Radio Dubai’s ‘The Kris Fade Show,’ the podcast host played a teaser for the actress and singer’s upcoming single called “Xanax,” which is said to be about “anxiety and pressure and taking care of yourself.”
Lindsay Lohan also shared a video of herself dancing along to the upcoming single on her Instagram on Thursday. Although the full song has yet to be released, the podcast host said the song will be released “very, very soon.”
Now, this is obviously a huge deal for the star. “Xanax” marks Lindsay’s music comeback after an almost 11-year hiatus. She previously released two albums: ‘Speak,’ in 2004 and ‘A Little More Personal (Raw)’ in ’05 with hits like “Rumors” and “Confessions of a Broken Heart.”
She also collaborated on the soundtracks for some of her previous films including ‘Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen’ and ‘Freaky Friday.’ So now that we have more music, come on Lindsay, how about an acting comeback? Maybe a little ‘Freaky Friday’ sequel? ‘Mean Girls’ post-college era? I mean, did Cady and Regina stay in contact? There’s so much we need to know.
