Black Widow is back. Scarlett Johansson returns as Natasha Romanoff in the first trailer for the Black Widow standalone movie.
The trailer sees the Russian spy returned to her roots and confront her sister like figure played by Florence Pugh as well as David harbors character the red Guardian, and an older Black Widow played by Rachel Weisz.
Now this marks Johansson’s first solo film as Romanov who she’s played since 2010’s Ironman. It also marks the first film in phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Fans, of course, have been mourning the loss of Romanoff since the events of Avengers Endgame, but this new movie takes place between the events of Captain America Civil War and Avengers infinity war.
In addition to starring Johansson also executive produces the film she told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year,
“I feel like I’m in control of the destiny of this film, which gives me a lot more peace of mind. I know her better than anybody.”
